Nevada HAND is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that develops, builds, and manages affordable rental homes for low-income seniors and working families in Southern Nevada. Founded in 1993, it is the state's largest developer, builder, and manager of such housing, operating 37 communities that serve more than 8,300 residents.
The organisation's work spans the full housing lifecycle: affordable housing development, construction, property management, mixed-use development, assisted living operations, and coordination under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programme. Its portfolio includes affordable apartment homes for families and seniors, workforce housing, mixed-use projects, and assisted living communities.
Nevada HAND runs its own Resident Services programme, with professional coordinators based on-site at each community who connect residents to resources intended to support stability and wellbeing. This sits alongside a "More Than a Home" philosophy that emphasises community and belonging beyond affordable rent, and a stated commitment to well-maintained housing that inspires pride of place.
The organisation works with public and private partners, including municipalities, state agencies, and private financing partners, and describes its focus as meeting the long-term affordable housing needs of the community.
