Vinted

Vinted runs Europe's largest C2C second-hand fashion marketplace, plus its own shipping network and payments services, across 20+ markets in Europe and North America.

Vinted operates Europe's largest online C2C marketplace for second-hand fashion. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Vilnius, the company serves more than 20 markets across Europe and North America, where millions of members trade clothing, kids' items, luxury handbags, electronics, books and other goods every day. The business has grown from a simple tool built to help a co-founder give away clothes to friends into Lithuania's first unicorn, a status it reached in 2019. Vinted employs over 2,200 people, with offices in Vilnius, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg and Paris.

The company's stated mission is to make second-hand the first choice worldwide. Its offering is built on three components. Vinted Marketplace is the consumer trading platform itself. Vinted Go handles shipping, offering a pick-up and drop-off network of more than 500,000 points in partnership with over 60 carriers. Vinted Pay provides payments for buyers and sellers across Europe.

Engineering work spans several domains: a large-scale online marketplace platform, logistics and shipping infrastructure, payments technology, and mobile and web consumer applications. The company is venture-capital backed, with investors including Accel, EQT Growth, Insight Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Its stated sustainability focus is making the most of what already exists.
