USA Rare Earth, Inc. is building a vertically integrated domestic rare earth magnet supply chain, spanning metal extraction through to magnet production. The company's mine-to-magnet strategy is designed to control every step of the process and to serve energy, mobility and national security applications without reliance on Chinese sources.
Its products include high-performance rare earth magnets produced in the USA, alongside the operations of Less Common Metals (LCM), a business acquired to establish a comprehensive supply chain for rare earth metals and magnets. Technical work centres on rare earth metal extraction, magnet manufacturing and integrated mine-to-magnet processing.
The company is targeting one of the largest rare earth magnet manufacturing facilities in the United States. Its stated priorities include ethically produced components, domestic US manufacturing and supply chain independence from Chinese sources, with an orientation towards national security and the critical minerals supply chain.
