Misr Technology Services (MTS) is the Ministry of Finance's technical arm, building and operating Egypt's national trade and customs platforms including the NAFEZA single window system.
Misr Technology Services (MTS) is an Egyptian joint stock company founded in 1998 that serves as the technical arm of the Ministry of Finance. It develops, manages and operates Egypt's national trade and customs platforms, working under a twenty-year contract with the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Customs Authority. The company employs more than 700 people.
Its flagship product is the NAFEZA System, Egypt's National Single Window for Foreign Trade. The platform is deployed across Egyptian airports, seaports, land ports, dry ports and free zones. MTS reports that average cargo release times fell from 29 days to much shorter periods following its introduction, alongside a 13% increase in tax revenue.
The company's technical work spans trade facilitation platforms, national single window systems, customs and logistics technology, network and security, DevOps, information security, business intelligence, data science, web development and systems engineering. It operates in the government, customs, foreign trade, maritime transport, logistics, shipping and ports sectors, working with government agencies and international partners.
MTS runs summer internship programmes covering Network & Security, System, DevOps, Information Security, Business Intelligence, Data Science and Web Development.
