Luminus

Luminus is the second largest electricity producer and energy supplier on the Belgian market. Its operations span electricity generation, energy supply and a range of innovative energy solutions and flexibility services, serving residential and business customers in Belgium and across Europe. The company is active in the Energy, electricity generation and utilities sectors.

Generation is weighted towards renewables. Luminus operates more than 314 onshore wind turbines on Belgian soil, with a total wind capacity of 847.2 MW, making it the number one onshore wind energy supplier in Belgium. It also runs 7 hydroelectric power plants, sufficient to supply approximately 60,000 households. Renewables account for 23% of its total energy capacity. Technical work across the company touches wind energy, hydroelectric power, solar energy, battery storage, heat pump technology and electric vehicle charging.

On the supply side, the company provides electricity and gas at competitive rates, alongside solar panel installations, home battery storage systems, heat pumps and EV charging solutions. My Luminus, its customer portal, gives users access to manage energy consumption, contracts, invoices and payments.

Luminus frames its direction around the Electrify 2030 strategy, which commits the company to a CO₂-neutral energy future through innovative solutions aimed at environmental sustainability and customer wellbeing. This includes ongoing investment to expand sustainable energy production.
