Internal Consulting Group
A global consulting platform founded in 2011 that assembles bespoke teams of independent consultants, with methodologies, training and project services, from a network of around 5,000 professionals.
Internal Consulting Group (ICG), founded in 2011, is a global consulting platform that assembles bespoke teams of independent consultants for client engagements, supplementing them with intellectual property, methodologies, training and project services. Rather than maintaining a conventional employee pyramid, ICG draws on a network of approximately 5,000 professionals and builds a specialist team around each brief. Clients may engage a single consultant or scale up a wider team as project needs evolve.
Central to the model is ICG's patented Industrialised Adhocracy platform, used alongside the BAF process to match clients with relevant independent professionals. The platform typically produces a shortlist of up to three candidates within 48 hours, with a selected consultant potentially starting the next day. Consultants enter the network through CV and LinkedIn screening, interviews and reference checks, forming what the firm describes as a quality-controlled network.
Since 2011 the firm has delivered more than 2,000 projects and phases for hundreds of clients across for-profit, public sector and nonprofit organisations. Its reach spans multiple countries on six continents, with a presence in Australia and elsewhere. Work is delivered alongside supporting methodologies, training and project services, with an emphasis on speed, transparency, flexibility and direct client control.
