GETEC

GETEC develops, finances, builds, owns and operates decarbonised energy and infrastructure solutions for industrial and real estate customers across Europe. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Germany, the company has grown to employ more than 3,100 people and currently operates over 11,000 energy plants across seven European countries. Since 2022, GETEC has been wholly owned by the Infrastructure Investments Fund (IIF), advised by J.P. Morgan.

The company's work spans the full lifecycle of energy infrastructure - from initial development and project financing through to long-term asset ownership and day-to-day operations. Its customer base includes energy-intensive industries such as automotive, chemicals and life sciences, food and dairy, paper, healthcare, data centres, and municipalities, as well as the broader real estate sector. Alongside physical infrastructure, GETEC provides digital energy solutions designed to optimise costs, improve reliability and support decarbonisation goals.

GETEC's technical domains include energy systems engineering, industrial park development and operation, regulatory expertise for European energy markets, and innovative supply models structured as long-term partnership contracts. The combination of engineering capability, financial strength and regulatory knowledge positions the company to take on complex, multi-decade energy transition projects on behalf of its clients.
