Alberta Motor Association

Member organisation providing Albertans with 24/7 roadside assistance, insurance, travel bookings, registry services and rewards, as a CAA and AAA partner since 1926.

The Alberta Motor Association (AMA) is a multi-service member organisation serving Albertans through roadside assistance, insurance, travel bookings, registry services and member rewards. Founded in 1926 and headquartered in Alberta, Canada, the association represents more than 1,000,000 members and operates as a partner of the CAA and AAA networks. Its longest-running service, the 24/7 Roadside Assistance Programme, is backed by what the association describes as the most reliable towing and rescue fleet in Alberta.

Beyond roadside service, AMA's operations span several distinct lines of business: insurance products tailored to Albertans, travel planning and booking, provincial registry services, and a member rewards programme offering everyday savings. It also publishes AMA Insider magazine, covering road safety, travel, community events and automotive advice. Work across these areas draws on a range of domains, including fleet operations, automotive care, insurance products, travel services, registry processes and membership rewards programmes.

The association frames its purpose around advocacy for traffic safety, consumer protection and crime prevention, and around a member-centric philosophy of protecting what matters most to the people it serves. Nearly a century of continuous operation underpins its stated commitment to community work in the places where members live and work.
